NFPA members and non-members alike are invited to attend the upcoming NFPA Regional Meetings in Detroit and Minneapolis. Held over breakfast or lunch, both meetings are free and offer networking and educational opportunities for all fluid power professionals. Attendees will have time to meet new contacts and catch up with old ones, hear regionally focused business updates from their peers, and learn about a timely topic from an industry speaker.
As previously announced, the Detroit meeting will take place over breakfast April 19 at the Westin Southfield Detroit and will feature Tom Kennedy, President and Founder of MadsenArcher Consulting, Inc. as he presents, “Attracting, Engaging and Growing Talent.” Kennedy has more than 40 years of progressively responsible experience in leadership development and human resources management. He has led the human resources function in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. He has been a senior leader in companies through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes.
The Minneapolis meeting will take place over lunch May 10 at MTS Corp.’s headquarters and will feature a speaker from the Federal Reserve of Minneapolis as well as a tour of MTS facilities. Networking begins at 11:00 am, followed by lunch, a presentation, and optional tour of MTS facilities.
The special guest speaker from the Federal Reserve of Minneapolis will be Joe Mahon, Regional Outreach Director, who is an expert on the Ninth District regional economy—an area that covers Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Montana and portions of Wisconsin and Michigan. Plus, Mahon closely follows agriculture, manufacturing, energy, mining, and other important end-use customer markets for our industry. He will also touch on labor trends in various markets.
