Muncie Power Products Inc. is excited to announce the release of the new A20 Series power take-off, designed to fit on Allison 3000 and 4000 series transmissions.

Muncie A20_Series_PTO_RenderThe big changes with this PTO focus on the installation process. The goal was to find ways to make it not only easier, but less time consuming. The A20 series PTO features a new rotatable flange with 30 unique, identifiable positions allowing great flexibility
in finding the optimal position when mounting a hydraulic pump.

With these position codes, customers can choose to order their PTO set to a specific code and have it shipped to them that way. Alternatively, they can have it shipped loose and set the arrangement before, during, or after installing it.

This rotatable flange is independent of the seals — meaning it is easily adjustable without any concern of damaging the shaft seal. Beyond this unique flange, Muncie also focused on other areas to make installation easier. The housing design allows easier access to the mounting bolts and the mounting bolts have been extended to take full advantage of the threads provided on the transmission.

An additional feature with the A20 series PTO is the option to order one of two tool kits. Over the past several years, Muncie’s team of engineers has worked to develop and refine a tool kit to allow an installer to have everything they need for a PTO installation in one place. It contains a torque wrench (optional), tool bag, and all the tools needed to properly install the PTO. This tool kit can be ordered as a separate part number.

The A20 Series has a single torque rating for intermittent and continuous duty applications of 415 lb-ft. This PTO is applicable for a number of markets including dump, fire and rescue, refuse, utility, tow and recovery, snow and ice, and bulk hauling, among others.
